◊ Rhinoplasty Procedures ◊ Primary Rhinoplasty The nose is perhaps the most prominent feature of the face. It is no wonder that many people are concerned that their nose fit the rest of their facial features. Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that brings the nose into balance with the eyes, chin and cheeks. Rhinoplasty is arguably the most difficult operation in plastic surgery. It requires a great deal of skill and artistic judgment to sculpt the nose into the proper shape that will make a person happy. Some people need to have their nose made smaller. Others actually need to have it made larger to fit in with their other facial features. Yet others need refinement, the removal of harsh characteristics and the creation of a delicate structure. Every nose needs slightly different treatment. In short, rhinoplasty should be customized to fit the rest of the face which is what Dr. Gruber does. Secondary Rhinoplasty Some people have had previous rhinoplasty and are unhappy with their result. Perhaps the nose is still large or still small. Perhaps it has irregularities. Or, perhaps it simply looks like a "nose job". Dr. Gruber performs secondary surgery on these people to correct the problem that may have arisen from the first surgery or were never corrected at the first surgery. Secondary surgery requires even more skill and finesse because the tissues are often much stiffer, less compliant and may be missing certain elements that need to be replaced. Dr. Gruber has this skill and experience to help the patient achieve the original result they were seeking. The Unique Nose Based on years of performing nasal surgery, Dr. Gruber can correct and beautify even the most difficult noses. He has spent his entire career correcting a variety of noses such as the crooked nose, the twisted tip, the asymmetrical nose, the round bulbous tip, the pinched nose, the severely upturned nose, the severely down-turned nose, the thick skinned nose, the small nose, and the broad nose. He has dealt with noses that can’t breathe because of malfunctioning internal valves, external valves, deviated septa, nostril stenosis and turbinate hypertrophy. Feel free to contact us for more information on this topic. The Complex Nose Dr. Gruber is one of a handful of surgeons who has specialized in the treatment and renovation of extremely complex noses. He has corrected and beautified noses of all sizes and types: the bulbous, broad, round and thick tip noses. He has successfully treated noses of all ethnic types: the Asian, Middle Eastern, and African-American noses. Dr. Gruber has reconstructed complicated noses that have suffered from trauma and skin cancer. For more information on your nose and what can be done to correct it and successfully treat it, call our office for a general plan of action.
