Dr. Ronald P. Gruber is an internationally respected plastic surgeon specializing in rhinoplasty.  Dr. Gruber, a recognized leader in rhinoplasty procedures, is the past President of the Rhinoplasty Society, has published over 50 articles in scientific journals, is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of California, San Francisco, and part of the Adjunct Clinical Faculty at Stanford University.  In addition, Dr. Gruber is a traveling professor with the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon sand the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons.

In addition to primary rhinoplasty, Dr. Gruber also performs secondary rhinoplasty, also known as revisionary rhinoplasty. Rhinoplasty is an operation to correct deformities of the nose. Surgery can improve the appearance of the nose and in some instances, improve nasal breathing. Secondary rhinoplasty is for patients who are not happy with the results of previous surgery and want corrective rhinoplasty. In the past, it might have been fashionable to have an upturned nose. Today, a natural nose is preferred. Often the problems are not minor and there can be scar tissue. It may be necessary to reconstruct and reshape the supporting framework of the nose. You should research your choice carefully and find a gifted surgeon such as Dr. Gruber to perform corrective rhinoplasty.

Dr. Gruber is dedicated to teaching residents and private practitioners the latest surgical techniques in rhinoplasty.  He has a strong understanding of both the aesthetic and the functional aspects of the nose which gives him great insight into the procedure.

His book, Rhinoplasty, State of the Art, is a textbook used by many plastic surgeons and teaching programs.  He has written chapters on nose surgery for the books of his colleagues who have written on the subject of plastic surgery and rhinoplasty.   Dr. Gruber is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and has contributed extensively to the advancement of rhinoplasty surgery. Dr. Gruber has developed new techniques and instruments for rhinoplasty.  He is highly regarded as a pioneer in the field of rhinoplasty.
